Tips for Communicating with People with Disabilities
Not everyone has experience communicating with people with disabilities. However, it should not be intimidating. Appropriate etiquette when interacting with people with disabilities is based primarily on basic respect and courtesy.
This section of the training features some suggestions for communicating with people with disabilities in general, as well as things to keep in mind when interacting with those with combat-related conditions such as TBI and/or PTSD. These tips can apply both inside and outside of the workplace to Veterans and non-Veterans alike.
