Accommodating TBI - Continued
For those with Visual Problems, consider:
- Replacement of fluorescent lights to high intensity white lights or natural light
- Job-site accommodations including adaptive technology
For those experiencing difficulty with Productivity and Working Effectively with Supervisors, consider:
- Job coaches who make frequent, scheduled site visits
- Job sharing with another employee
- Mentoring by a co-worker or retired worker
- Setting reasonable expectations for task completion
- Limiting multi-tasking
- Recognizing accomplishments through positive reinforcement
(Note: Those with mild TBI generally do not need any or all of these adjustments or accommodations.)
